With Focus UVA have created a small scale, light-based artwork.
Consisting of a black disc with thousands of tiny LEDs hidden beneath its surface, it creates ever-changing, luminous colour patterns reminding of abstract work by painters such as Bridget Riley and Barnett Newman.
Installed in Morton’s Members Club in January 2010, Focus gently responds to the sounds that surround it, giving the installation an uncanny sense of awareness.
